Beppu and Sea

So this article is all about Japan’s largest collection of hot springs or they call it “onsen”, and sleeping in ryokan, traditional hotels, on the island of Kyushu. At the center of Kyushu is Mount Aso, one of the largest active volcanoes in the world and there are hot springs everywhere. Those hot springs offers treatment for diverse ailments such as anaemia, poor blood circulation, and liver trouble. You will also find there some spring towns in kyushu which are Oita Prefecture, Kurokawa Onsen, and Beppu.

In kannawa, the hot water is not only for bathing but also used for cooking. Around the town of Beppu has another three attractive steaming hot ponds where the water is too hot to bathe. They’re known as Jigoku or Hells, the Umi Jigoku(Sea Hell), Kamado Jigoku(Oven Hell), and Tatsumaki Jigoku(Waterspout Hell). But guys, the ultimate spin experience on the onsen is a traditional sand bath. You just lie in a pit by the sea and cover you in warmed sand by the hot spring water.
