The news was all about the Age of Criminal Liability. The news I’ve watched are “Minors who stealing and hurting jeepny passengers and “Child prisoners in the Philippines”. And also a mv titled”Isang Pagkakataon Pa”.
The house committee on justice approved the bill that would lower the minimum age of criminal responsibility from 15 to 9 years old.
Under house bill (8858), children aged 15 to 9 years old below will face criminal charges if found guilty of committing serious crimes.
RA 10630 previously amended RA 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006, which sets the age of criminal responsibility at 15 years old and will be imprisoned in juvenile care unit for a minimum of 12 years that would be imposed as their punishment.
Children from 15 to 9 years old below, and who committed the serious crimes would be brought to Bahay Pag-asa for rehabilitation.
The news was related to my topic because you need to be careful when you are travelling because there’s a lot of snatchers everywhere even old or young. You need to be really careful for you to be safe.
The news was related to one of the present issues in the country which is the poverty. Because of poverty many people are tend to do something bad like snatching or stealing, just to ease their hunger.
The news was related to my life experience because when i am walking with my aunt at the street theirs a young snatch the bag of my aunt and I don’t know what to do. I’m just panicking that time guys and was so scary. I don’t want to happen that again.
It increase my understanding about the topic that when travelling you really encountered like that situation like snatching, murder and etc. so guys careful.
I will definitely recommend this news to others for them to understand the situation of others, especially those children who did bad things because they has a reason why they are doing that.
